He lives on the east coast in New York City with his parents. Griffin, the main character, is a little bit younger than Theo. The way it all spools out is perfect, just FYI if you were curious. Essentially this is the story of Griffin’s eventual healing.
And well, it’s not easy to read about a kid who has the name of your future kid who dies. You see, I read this while pregnant with my child who we are naming Theodore. Also, just a sidebar, I am proud of myself for getting through this book without breaking down. Okay, so as you probably have surmised from the reviews and the summaries, this book is about grief. History Is All You Left Me follows main character Griffin as he comes to terms with the death of his ex boyfriend, Theo. So, I have zero regrets about putting all the other irons I had in the fire on hold to read this. I am glad to say that this book was completely worth the time invested reading it. History Is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera is his sophomore book and proves More Happy Than Not is not a fluke.
